"Alison" Series
We made this beautiful lamp with two teapots, three pierced or reticulated plates, added a bowl as a base, and topped it off with a tea cup and saucer. (A pretty little edging of gold peeks out from the edges of the smallest little reticulated saucer.) Wonderful depth and texture on this lamp. There is something about the simplicity and shape of these simple, rounded white teapots contrasted with the "fancy" pierced (or reticulated) plates that makes a classic statement.
The lamp is 25 inches in height to the top of the harp (lampshade holder), 18.5 inches to the top of the brass light socket, and 9 inches at its widest point – from handle to spout
Our lamps are all one-of-a-kind originals handmade by me and my husband from a combination of vintage, antique and new china teapots and saucers. I am always searching for unusual and pretty pieces to make each lamp exceptional. I enjoy putting together teapots, cups and saucers from the collection I've gathered from flea markets, estate sales, antique stores and home stores to create truly unique lamps with china made in various countries - from the U.S., England, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Portugal, China, Japan to name the ones that are marked.
The teapots and saucers are wired through the center using a metal rod for stability in addition to glue between the pieces. We use new lamp wiring, sockets, harps and plugs on all our lamps.
