Our Graphic Spaces original wood gear bookend and office organizer can be personalized as a special gift. Our handmade laser cut wood gears are made from oak, masonite and maple. Base pieces are made of 3/8" mdf hard maple veneer and each bookend measures 3.25" x 7" x 7".
Inspired by the beauty of historic simple machines from the turn-of-the-century industrial revolution, our 3-dimensional piece of artwork not only looks amazing, but is completely functional and accurate as well. Yes! The gear freely spins on a brass capped bolt axis. The actual gear ratio of 6.0441 x 4.380 x 24 is engraved on the side just like a real machine gear would be.
Also, you have your choice of name as the personalized owner of "GEAR WORKS CO." Our example uses "CURTIS GEAR WORKS CO." This is engraved on both sides with the gear ratio making it reversible.
