This listing is for an antique and unique black forged metal lamp.
Possibly from the 18th century.
It has a cross and four holes to wall hanging.
From the research i made, it's a saucer-type open grease lamps and it was used by miners.
It was the first type of mine light and was popular in the 1700's and the figures (in this case a cross) acted as good luck charms.
It was used filled with grease or fish oils. This one still some grease inside!
Beautiful for home decor or to use for it's purpose.
In excellent condition.
