I've dated this brush to somewhere between 1915 when the Amity Leather Company was established to the 1920's. The Amity Leather Company began in 1915 by Robert Rolfs who had worked for the leather company Enger Kress also a producer of Art Nouveau - Arts and Crafts purses, wallets and other specialty goods. The Amity company in the 1930s was the largest producer of leather wallets and billfolds in the United States.
>Leather Case: Very light surface scuffing which can probably be removed with care. The leather is soft and subtle and the leather lacing is in perfect condition.
>Horsehair bristles/brush: Firmly attached, no odd odors.
>Handle: There is enamel loss, but as the set is almost 100 years old and I've never seen another one anywhere; the rarity value compensates for the enamel loss.
