What an incredibly sweet dress this is! The print is so charming and unique -- when first you look at the dress, it looks like a typical floral print, until you realize that the bright orange and green bursts of flowers are really in the shape of butterflies, and there are little butterfly silhouettes flitting all about. This dress really is the epitome of the girly Summer sundress, and will make you feel so dainty and so lovely every time you slip it on! A dress for the true butterfly print fanatic. :)
This beautiful dress was custom made over 50 years ago and is in phenomenal condition -- it is truly a treasure and one of a kind! There is not another one like it in all the world!!

Excellent vintage condition with no immediately noticeable stains and no tears. There is an area of light smudging on the skirt, and a few tiny pinhead sized orange spots -- due to the fullness of the skirt and the complexity of the pattern these things are really not noticeable without being looked for. There was a mend done under one arm (probably in the 1950s) wherein a swatch of fabric was taken from the inside of the neckline and added to the underarm -- it was really well done, and won’t be noticeable when the dress is worn. I absolutely love the bit of charm and whimsy that this gives the dress -- it’s such a wonderful bit of history!! This dress has been lovingly handwashed and is ready to wear. It has been priced with both its flaws and its virtues in mind. :)
