The words flow from our mouths, so often without thinking. As a introvert, I find that I speak much less on most occasions than many people do and even I sometimes find myself talking without end. I am often left wondering about all the words spoken in a day. Do we speak with intention, are we communicating or just talking into the wind? If there was an envelope to contain the wasted words spoken on any given day....what might it look like?
The piece is made with two used teabags dipped in beeswax and sewn together as a pouch....filled with random words cut from an old book in my studio.
Artwork measures:
Both sides of the piece are shown as well as a detail on each side.
Please keep in mind this piece is dipped in beeswax so is delicate and will melt if left in the hot sun or next to extreme sources of heat!

owner, maker, Mixed Media Art
I have been making art for over thirty years and have exhibited nationally. I graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design (now Ringling College of Art and Design) in Sarasota, Florida in 1980 with a degree in Painting and began working at the college in library as a cataloger. I continued to make art alongside my dream job of cataloging art books and working in an artistic community. The job grew and changed as I did and during my 25 year stint there I was fortunate to work with some very fine folks, helped to build an amazing collection and coordinate the purchase of the artist's book collection. My husband, a printmaker, and I met there in 1989 when he joined the faculty and we only left in 2005 to come to South Dakota where he became Associate
