The Enchanted Woodland Faery Dollhouse Company proudly presents "Wind's End Cottage" a faery dollhouse replica of an actual fairy house believed to have been located in the charming little village of Maidengrove in Oxfordshire, England during the First World War. This coffee table size fairy cottage stands approximately 24" tall (including chimney), on a richly landscaped base of 21" wide x 19" deep. Now back from a wonderful exhibition with Molly Cromwell in her Orlando Show, this beloved piece of art is available for purchase. If you would prefer Layaway, just convo me to set up a partial payment schedule for you- no problem!
Wind's End Cottage, in 1:12 inch (one inch to the foot) scale, is a one of a kind fairy cottage cut from 1/4 inch high grade plywood on a plywood base. The cottage has a ground floor and upper loft of stone with half timbered walls. Shelves are filled with food and grain, and the table is resplendent with a lovely pork pie, Cotswold cheese supplemented with a loaf of crusty baked bread. A traditional summer pudding waits on the sideboard.
The fantasy scale installation is entirely handmade of natural materials and high end silk fabrics and foliage. Mosses are cured and will last for generations, All dried flowers are professionally preserved and are purchased from all over the world. The house is painted in painstaking detail in artist acrylic paint, mediums and inks. Our fairy houses are meticulously thatched with hand wrapped bundles of natural broom straw each layer is carefully aged. Everything seen in the photographs is included.
