HOW TO ORDER: THIS IS A CUSTOM ITEM THAT WILL BE MADE JUST FOR YOU AND IS SUBJECT TO MY CURRENT WAITLIST (Typically ~ 6 months) Ordering custom pet portraits is easy: After purchasing, i will send you an email requesting photos of all angles of your pet, with special attention to any identifying marks. Let me know what pose you'd like your new little buddy to be in. The best photos have bright, even light and include each side, the back, face and standing side views all the way to the feet. Turnaround for each pet is 2-5 days plus 3-5 days shipping. I do have a waiting list (wait time varies) and each order is felted in the order it was received.
I do not use armature in my Fiber Friends. Each little pet is felted from locally sourced wool and is packed in recycled/compostable packaging. Each custom pet takes me approximately 2 working days, including tiny details like paw pads and special markings (paw pads not included on black dogs or dogs with very dainty feet.) I then allow the pet to rest overnight and then touch them up again the next day to ensure a tight felt that will last for years to come. Care for your Fiber Friends is easy: dust them occasionally, wipe with a damp cloth and keep away from direct sun, the kitties and teething pups!
I am a stickler to detail, so please be patient and get ready to squeal in delight when you receive your new little buddy in the mail. I especially love doing commemorative pieces, and understand the limitations of sending photographs of a pet who is deceased. Feel free to send along a written description of any identifying markings or favorite poses to help me get your Fiber Friend just right.
