This antique folk art bird is from the 1920's. A rustic or primitive piece to organize your sewing scissors, thread, thimble and needles with bottom drawer. I purchased this piece at an estate sale of a man who made these sewing boxes in the 1920's. This is made to look like a yellow bird with the scissors as the beak. It is a mustard yellow with fine craftsmanship. A reddish brown box below. This is truly an Americana collector's piece and would make a lovely gift, for the seamstress, folk lover or country decorator.
