This is one pound of white domestic USA wool. The wool is territorial 62'S wool which is a blend of several different breeds, ramboulliet being a high percentage of the wool. This is a soft but sproingy wool that has a good hand. The wool takes dye very well. It is an ecru, not a bright white. The wool has not been bleached so it felts very well. It felts fast using either wet felting or needle felting techniques. This is the same wool that I dye, for dudleyspinner tie dye roving. It just has not been dyed so you can customize it yourself, or use in the natural color.
This is a USA domestic wool from USA farmers and ranchers, processed in a USA mill. Keeping our domestic fiber industry alive and well is important to me.
The wool price went up with this last shipment of wool that I received, which is the bad news, the good news is that the quality went up as well. This wool is very ,very nice, soft, but still lofty and sproingy. It feels better to me than the 64'S merino that I have. I really like this new wool!
