75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon

Tall, stately Delphiniums are a coveted garden flower - particularly by those of us who garden in places that are really too warm to grow them easily. They come in their famous blue, but also bloom in other colors, such as the burgundy and lavender we have dyed here. This skein will strip in blue, lavender and burgundy, approximately four rows each.
Our newest sock yarn base is 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon for plenty of strength. It's a smooth, traditional 4-ply sock yarn that is a pleasure to knit with. Colors tend to be softer and more muted than on our other bases, and with a generous 460 yards, should be enough for both men's and women's socks. This yarn would also make a lovely scarf or pair of gloves.
Although the merino in this yarn is superwash, hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry for best results and to extend the life of your finished creation. This yarn has been rinsed a minimum of three times after dyeing, but may still bleed slightly on its first washing.
Currently, yarn is dyed one at a time or in small batches, but if you would like to order multiple skeins for a larger project, I will be happy to dye to order with every attempt made to match skeins as closely as possible. Also, although every attempt has been made to represent colors in photographs, individual monitors may vary.
This yarn was dyed in smoke-free premises. There are two cats and a dog, but they are not allowed to play in the fiber, which is stored in plastic bags and covered bins.
Please note if you want your yarn wound into a center pull cake, at no extra charge.
