I bought this from an Estate sale with no other information about it. I had it looked at by a local antique dealer and she said it was most likely made around the 40s or 50s.
I have never seen another bracelet close to this in color, detail or overall beauty!
The bracelet measures just a bit over 7" in length and has a simple hook clasp. There is also a safety chain. (scarabs approx. 7/16"h x 5/15" wide, birds 7/16" h x 1/2" wide. In addition there are small links joining them together)
There are 7 beautiful enameled scarabs, each with a rich caramel color body, a royal blue collar and lime green eyes. Each scarab is has 4 links, two at the top and two at the bottom. Each Scarab is securely linked to enameled Egyptian Horus birds, eight in total! These falcons appear silver and enameled with shades of caramel, royal blue, turquoise and green feathers. His tail feathers appear to be a dark caramel; he appears to have a relaxed feather hood in silver with turquoise enamel. If there is any wear it is to this hooded area but it is hard to tell if it is actually worn or simply very lightly applied. Please see pictures.
The bracelet is not marked. The metal appears to be silver with little remains of gold gilding. The clasp and safety chain are gold gilded or plated with the little gold left.
Wonderful and unusual collectors piece in excellent vintage condition.
