It must be the heat here in Dallas. All these 100 plus degree days are getting to me. Why else would I keep seeing cats with fish tails in my sleep. What other reason could there be for crocheting this hybrid beauty?
Miss Mer-Cat is crocheted with new cotton yarns, two strands combined for the "cat" part and one variegated for the tail. She is stuffed with lots of fiberfill. She measures 15.5" / 39.37cm from the top of her head to the tip of her tail. Her belly is 8" / 20.32cm and her head is 9.5" / 24.13cm diameter. The jewels on her tail are hand sewn, vintage glass jewels from a sadly now closed millinery supply shop in downtown Dallas. Their packaging is shown in the fifth photo. Miss Mer-Cat's facial features are hand cut black ultrasuede securely glued to the face, but with determination and muscle can be pulled off, so don't try it.
Don't you need a Mer-Cat for your beach party?
Miss Mer-Cat will travel anywhere in the USA via USPS Priority Mail and First Class International Parcel to the rest of the world.
