Late last fall I was inspired by a dear friend to make a series small trays and tumblers with the first line from Emily Dickinson's poem, "hope is the thing with feathers." These tumblers are hand-thrown to approximate dimensions of 3.75-4.25" tall and 3.5" in diameter They hold a minimum of 8 fl oz. I've hand etched them, and given them a slightly rustic finish- they are entirely one of a kind. Each cup is engraved with the first line of the poem and decorated with a feather (this stamp is available in extase's shop). Available in robin's egg blue or white/cream.
This tumbler is entirely handmade- a ball of clay formed into a cup on the potter's wheel, trimmed, painted, hand-etched and stamped, fired, stained, glazed, and fired again. Please note that these are tumblers, not mugs, if you want a handle, please convo me for a custom order. It takes approximately 4 weeks to produce and ship these tumblers. I thank you for your patience.
