They are triggered by the discharges of positive lightning between an underlying thundercloud and the ground.
Sprites appear as luminous reddish-orange flashes. They often occur in clusters within the altitude range 50–90 km above the Earth's surface.

Photos were taken in full sun. The highly silvered glass sing with colors. Colors will change under different lighting conditions. But they won't disappoint!
Bead measure 14mm x 6mm with a 5mm hole.
All beads have a SOLID sterling silver core that can not be easily removed and will last for years and years.
My beads have been cleaned of bead release and kiln annealed for strength and durability.
I use a variety of American and Italian glass to create my one of a kind beads.
