The earwires are brass also. If you'd like them changed to surgical steel or sterling silver just let us know in a convo, email or "Note to the seller" at checkout.
The entire earring measures about 2 1/8 - 2 3/8" (5.5 -6.1cm) from the top of the brass earwire to the bottom of the earring. They are about 1" (2.6cm) across the widest part.

The brass wire used in these earrings is in it's natural form and not treated with a lacquer or wax. Brass naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny.
