Swirls of gold, silver and cinnabar pigment were hand painted on these warm white ceramic vintage Japanese rice bowls to create the suggestion of bamboo leaves rustling in the wind. Though originally made for serving rice, the bowls would be perfect for serving hot soup on chilly Fall days. The bowls are sold as a set of two.

The manufacturer's back mark is visible on the bottom of the bowls. The two bowls are in good vintage condition with slight areas of wear in the glaze, but no chips or cracks.

They're slightly larger than some other chawan rice bowls at 4.625"/11.7475 cm across and about 2.25"/5.715 cm tall.

We pack items carefully for shipping with partially recycled materials. In the US, the two bowls will travel to you via USPS; elsewhere it will go by International First Class with insurance.
