This 100% cotton fabric block shows us an image of a water fairy riding on a nautilus shell on top of the sea. She has a crown made of pink sea lettuce and pearls, and below her a fish has leapt out of the water to see her. It is a reproduction of an illustration by Warwick Goble from The Book of Fairy Poetry.

This block is available in three sizes: 8 x 10", 5 x 7", or 4 x 6". Simply choose the size you'd like from the pulldown menu when you make your purchase.

This is NOT an iron-on transfer, the image is actually printed onto the fabric, 200 thread count, 100% cotton.

The image will be centered in the fabric block with a white border around it, to give you some seam allowance. The width of the white border differs depending on the size block you order.

Please note that vintage image sizes vary, and are not optimized for modern frames (in case you are buying the fabric with an eye to framing it.)

Making the blocks colorfast is easy, we include instructions for doing so with each block. Once the colorfast treatment is done, printed sheets can be washed by hand or machine on the gentle cycle in cold water without detergent. If soiled, you can add a small amount of liquid fabric softener to cold water wash. Lay flat to dry.

This image is available in our sister store, KatyDids Cards as a greeting card here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/105907198/sea-fairy-card-princess-rides-nautilus

These blocks can be used to make quilts, pillows, tote bags, door hangers, sachets for potpourri, appliques for t-shirts, or other fabric creations, uses being limited only by your imagination!

We make our fabric blocks from vintage images from our personal collection (we've been collecting ephemera for over 40 years.) We scan the originals, and then clean and repair the damage that time has done to the original using Photoshop. We then print them using a high resolution printer at 300 DPI. The resulting fabric block is deeply saturated, and guaranteed to please.

The watermark on the image above does not appear on the fabric block you will receive.

Terms of Use: Our fabric blocks are sold as supplies, and as such may be used to make products for resale here or on other venues. However we request that our images not be scanned and resold as digital images, or sold as products similar to that which we sell, in competition with us. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
