This beautiful silver plated wire-wrapped ring is one of my very favorites. :) I used a GORGEOUS vintage light cherry-red plastic button with a faint pearlized silver ring around the outside. The depth of the hue seems to change according to light and position - sometimes the color appears a deep red, other times only a light pink. These photos can barely do it justice. This 4-holed button has a bit of a star-burst pattern (which also reminds me of a poinsettia) where grooves were originally carved. The silver effect is not due to paint chipping or rubbing off, but instead appears to be part of the original design of the ring. I've never seen a button like this before and if anyone has, I'd love the chance to buy more since they would make some truly fantastic jewelry pieces! This piece is one of my favorite one-of-a-kind rings, made from a truly unique button.
