This talisman was crafted from a naturally occurring ocean holey stone, and an antique tribal kuchi coin. The sea holey stone is a rare find and is considered to be powerful protection since it was shaped by nature, (the persistent drift of water over rock). Old folklore says if one looked through a holey stone during the light of the full moon you could see the realm of the faerie. Native Americans have also used these stones in healing ceremonies and medicine wheels to grant protection and remove sickness.
The antique tribal kuchi coin has a lovely old rusted patina, it has been weathered by time, song and movement. I've left it in its natural state. Both pieces together act as harmonious corresponding twins reveling in the voices of their past. They are strung on a custom seed bead mix of earthy rich bronze, grass green, and pale white accented with African brass beads, with a tiny peach moonstone, wood bead, and rough faceted smokey quartz rondelle. Length is 20 inches.
As a talisman the dual elements that constitute this necklace recall the symbolic energy of two which is a creative force of outpouring energy. In bardic numbers, two deals with polarity and the harmony of spirit and matter.
May you wear it and walk or dance with joy.
