For this heart, I used a glass that is no longer in production (which is too bad!) that is called river rock. What is so cool about this glass is its reaction once silver foil is introduced to it. This beige glass plays with silver foil and balls up the silver, some of the glass turns into a caramel, some a mocha, but my favorite part is the awesome black webbing or bark like appearance that the glass takes on. So earthy and yet so beautifully elegant. A beautiful focal bead or pendant hanging alone on a cord or chain. Or would pair so nicely with other blacks, silvers or browns.
I made this heart in my glass studio using soft glass and silver foil. I kiln annealed it for durability and then throughly clean her up.
This heart measures approx. 2" long and approx. 1" across. The hole in this heart runs horizontally through the top of the bead. Please see the pictures for exact placement of the hole.
