This is an exquisite, much loved purse made by Koret, and sold through Bergdorf Goodman, NY. Pleated navy satin fabric on the outside, with a gold tone, rhinestone embellished closure. It has an interior, chain-attached coin purse (for easy retrieval). Koret, a top of the line ladies handbag company, was favored by such devotees as Claudette Colbert, Grace Kelley, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Madeline Albright. Made exclusively for Bergdorf Goodman (the luxury goods department store on Fifth Avenue), this deluxe handbag is c. 1950’s.
It is in very good vintage condition. The two-tone blue interior is slightly deeper in color, as compared to the navy exterior. One rhinestone was missing on the clasp, and it has been replaced. The purse closes with a satisfying click, and is secure (press equally on both ends). Its “as found” appearance is luxurious

• Fading to the outside. Light soiling on the interior.
