Black Americana New Orleans Jazz Men ~Seated Musicians~ This set of 3 Vintage Black Americana Ceramic Collectibles features a a trio of instrument playing Jazz Musicians. This style of Black Americana was made heavily during the pre-war era, and represent a different time, and a senseless mindset that made black culture into caricatures and thus created.items like these for whimsical display.
This set is more positive than most of the Black Americana collectibles I've seen. I feel this set creates a positive spin, and features the talents and contributing gift of music - New Orleans Jazz!

This musical Trio includes a Saxophonist, a Fiddler, and a Coronet or Trumpet Player. each one is seated on a pink Fringed Ottoman, that were so popular in the old South, and well dressed in very colorful jacketed clothing.

These interesting and highly collectible set of Antique Porcelain figures or "shelf sitters" were made in Japan and marked twice, once incised on the backs of the figures, another is stamped on the figurine bottoms in black.

They are porcelain, very detailed and cold painted.

Each measure approx 3 inches tall.. Paint colors are very bright and include lots of black, pink, orange, and green, with highlights of red, gold and beige.

**CONDITION: This set of 3 is in good original condition with the expected paint loss (as common in cold painted pieces) and paint misses. There are many "worn" spots to the paint as these are quite old.(80+ years probably)
Please use my photos for evaluating paint distress. (A sharpie could repair the faces a bit.) No cracks or chips are present on any of these sweet figurines.
