This yarn reminds me of the beginning signs of spring. The long blues grays and purples of winter slowly gives way to the beautiful colors of spring. The colors in this yarn include, purple, blue, pink, grey, light turquoise, sage and pale yellow.
Here is a listing for two skeins of 2-ply, handpainted, handspun Punta and falkland wool yarn. I hand paint all of my fiber using Eco Friendly dyes and I set the color with steam and Citric Acid. I carefully mix all of my colors to create the colorways you see. All of the fiber is spun by me on my Ashford Elizabeth spinning wheel.

One ply is Falkland wool. Falkland wool has an incredible soft hand and is extremely white. Falkland spins up beautifully and dyes very nicely. Falkland is not a breed of sheep but is named after the islands in comes from. This wool comes from the Falkland islands off of the coast of Argentina. Since there are no know sheep diseases on the island the sheep are never chemically dipped and the wool meets organic standards. It is a combination of breeds such as Polwarth, Corriedale, Merino, Romney and a few other breeds.
The other ply is Punta Wool. Punta Wool is very soft and squishy. Punta is not a breed of sheep rather the region it comes from. This wool comes from a region in South America called Punta, hence the name of the wool, not the sheep. It is a combination of breeds and is very soft, it reminds me of Merino.
