Very early bullet bra that probably dates from the late 1940s.
Classic circle stitching created a pointy torpedo bullet cup.
Gives that classic "sweater girl" look that Lana Turner made famous.
Tag reads "Carnival Creations, Made in USA, Style 91 34B, Nylon - Do not iron".
Cups are about 3.5" deep. Measures almost 15" across under cups when flat on loosest hook.
In very nice clean vintage condition with no holes, tears, rot or odors.
The bra cups have a dual layer of sheer nylon that are topstitched in grey thread to form the bullets. The outer layer of the cups are embroidered in art deco black threaded butterflies.
Sheer sides go around to the adjustable 6 hook closure in back. The adjustable straps and the area under the cups are made of a black silky satin fabric. The center front has a non stretch band that attach to the satin. There is some discoloration in areas to the black satin where it takes a reddish tone.
This is a beautiful collectible piece of fashion history.
