This is one interesting vintage lamp. An elderly glass collector told me it was made in Pennsylvania by Houzex (or Houze) Glass in the late 1930s. I haven't ever seen another like this, that's for certain. It's nifty. All original except it has a new cloth-covered cord. The plug is Bakelite and functions well. The metal spacers and socket are nickel-plated and really need a darn good polish but I leave that to its new owner. Original simple chrome-colored finial. Tiered glass base typical of Houzex lamps. Works well, too. Remarkably, the glass is in wonderful unblemished condition. 18" tall to top of finial. 11.5" to top of socket. The base is 4" square. Harp is integral and fixed so this lamp will need to be shipped in a tall narrow box. No shade.
