Sorry, this item sold. You may also like:
I hand-dyed it with acid dyes, in a technique known (here in the UK) as space-dyeing, colours poured across the tops in stripes and steamed to set.
This colourway I called Pot-Pourri, soft colours like fading flowers; rose pink, apricot, gold, cream, fawn and leafy green. The colour sequence repeats about every yard, so you can vary the colour effects as you spin. Spin just as it comes for long sections of colour, or split the top down and pre-draft for shorter colour bursts. Then you have the further option of plying it back on itself to mingle the colours, or navajo ply to keep them distinct.
I have included several pictures, to try and give a good idea of the colour, but I can't guarantee that it will look exactly the same on your screen as it does on mine!
So this listing is for a bag of Pot-Pourri dyed baby alpaca tops weighing approx 150g
