Juniper Ridge Fire Opal is from south central Oregon. Its in a fee dig area and the material is hard rock mined. Its a stunning material and colors range from pale yellow through orange to deep red. Color masks when present are slightly brownish. Most of these are quite red with an orange modifier. Altogether stunning stones. Inclusions when present are hematite dendrites and some cloudier areas of darker color. Color zoning is also somewhat specific with distinct patterns typical of this location. My photographs are auto white balanced, but tend to accentuate the red a bit.
And I must apologize for any surface fingerprints and dust. All stones have a flawless finish unless noted.
Prices are between 5 and 14 a carat depending.
Just a slight color veil in the stone keeps it from perfection and that is just a miniscule blink.
Nice deeper Orange Red, almost an Orange Red Red that keeps this saturated glow working.
A very nice larger Opal.
