This papercut illustrates the first two lines of William Roscoe’s 1802 poem:

“Come take up your hats, and away let us haste,
To the Butterfly’s Ball, and the Grasshopper’s Feast.”

It features many of the creatures included in the poem: the butterfly and the grasshopper (of course!), the beetle with the emmet on his back, the gant, the dragonfly and the moth, the sly little dormouse and the snail.

This papercut has been designed by me and then cut with a lasercutter. It is in a lovely deep yellow, cut from acid-free and light-resistant 300gsm card which has a slight texture. It measures approx. 245mm x 185mm.

This listing is for an unframed papercut. It will arrive sealed in a cellophane envelope with a very stiff piece of back board behind to protect it. It will then be packaged in a protective mail envelope.

If you would like this papercut framed, it will arrive mounted on white board and framed within a deep white box frame, all ready to hang straight on your wall. Please message me if you would like this option, and I will send you more info and prices.
