The head and face was formed by also layering newsprint and magazine paper strips over a glass face mask knick knack and then attaching the paper mache molded face onto a egg shaped syrofoam ball with another layer of newprint.
Next I took a clear plastic cone and glued the head and body onto it. I cut out the design in the skirt and place a yellow light gel behind the opening.
Then I had a plastic santa claus that had a LED light in it so I cut it out and recycled it into the Lady. After attaching all the parts I again, applied several layers (alternating between) of newsprint and magazine paper strips. Once the piece was dry I covered it with paper pulp incorporating recycled old jewelry, chains and beads.
When All was dry and set I coated her with several coats of white gesso to seal, then painted her in acrylic paints.
The pink roses are clay paste flowers recycled frome a bakery cake which I layered with acrylic gloss medium to seal.
I then sprayed her with several layers of clear coat. Signed and dated on the bottom. The Lady With Pink Roses nightlight is 19 1/2" at the base, 15 5/8" tall and 7 1/2" wide.
