Perhaps Ben Seibel's earliest design, this brass plated ash tray is also one of his finest. First produced in 1948 for Jenfred Ware, this particular design is a hallmark of the Mid Century Modern movement, and for good reason. This piece combines beautiful, organic shapes with an eye for curves, resulting in a seamless, yet stunning, design. This piece is in excellent condition for its age and type, with a bit of lovely patina, and some wear to the inner bowl (image 4). There is a slight bit of general wear, but this bowl is in amazing shape given the general look of most early Jenfred Ware products, which were partial to oxidation. This piece is meant to be the crown jewel of your collection, instantly adding an incredibly sophisticated touch to any space. We have been unable to find this design on any Seibel resource site, making this an incredibly rare Jenfred item. This ash tray retains most of its original label (image 5), ensuring that this is in fact the real deal. Out of all of Seibel's designs, this piece is perhaps the finest, and promises to look stunning in any room, be it Mid Century themed or otherwise.
