This yarn took a while to spin but, so much fun. I took bits from my stash in coordinating colors and ran the wool through my drum carder along with some Firestar. After I spun the batts up into a thick and thin skein, I used some sock weight lavender yarn and combined the two into a super coiled art yarn. There are 52 plus yards and the skein weighs 5 1/2 ounces. My inspiration for the color combination came from the all the lovely colors of gemstones so there is ruby, emerald, citron, peridot, etc. This is a bulky yarn and will do best with large gauge hook or needles. There is a blend of wool including alpaca, Wensleydale and Merino along with well, you name it.....It is really soft and drapes well.
