A real jaw-dropper if ever there was one, this dress is almost too magnificent to be true -- there are so many incredible details to oggle that it is impossible to not be a bit overwhelmed by its beauty! Done in the most vibrant navy blue, this dress will flatter all complexions, but of course will be best suited to those who are not too shy for unending looks of lust and longing. It will be glorious with just a pair of simple heels -- I would recommend silver ones to compliment the crystal beading -- and would be perfect to wear to a gala, for a trip to the opera house, as part of a wedding party (although you must be careful not to upstage the bride!) or for any other especially special event at which you wish to glimmer and shine. This truly is a work of startling magic in the form of wearable art!
This beautiful dress was custom made over 60 years ago and is in phenomenal condition -- it is truly a treasure and one of a kind! There is not another one like it in all the world!!
please note: the beading and the slit up the thigh are not original to the dress, and were added by the previous owner. It was done extremely well and looks incredible!

Excellent vintage condition with no stains, tears, or immediately visible mends. This dress is so close to perfect, but there are a couple of flaws, the most noticeable of which are a large number of pinholes and a tiny bit of lightening on the mesh -- I would recommend having the mesh replaced before wearing the dress if you want to wear it to something really fancy -- a skilled tailor should have very little trouble doing this. There is a mend on the back of the right sleeve, but it falls so close to being under the arm that it really is not noticeable when the dress is worn. One tiny spot of lightening on the taffeta swag that is not at all noticeable without really searching for it. A single tiny pinhole on the bottom back of the skirt. I found no other flaws, and once the mesh is replaced this dress will read as perfect when worn. It has been drycleaned, and is priced with both its flaws and its virtues in mind. :)
