Some of these baby birds jump as much as thirty feet from a hollow in a tree to the water surface. If nesting grounds are scarce, the females will lay their eggs in the same nest. With as many as 6 to 40 eggs in a nest, they leave the nest quickly, "The Next Day".
***I have included photos of the collage process in the thumbnails.
You can see the many fragments of paper and layers that selected for this photomontage. Individual ferns, logs, blades of grass, blossoms.... I added paints and inks for the desired lighting, color and details.
***The image is 6 9/16 wide by 8 15/16 high.
The reclaimed wood frame was made by my husband with wood from our dump truck. The rust stains are from the rails and bolts used to secure the wood to the sides of the truck.
***The finished size of this wetland piece is 15 1/2 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches high.
***Ready To Hang.
This would be great cabin decor or lodge room. It would be a great gift for anyone that loves Wood ducks or other wildlife.
As with all Chugz eco art collage, I began with a reclaimed beverage carton. I utilized a Sierra Mist box. If you look at the background you can see how I used the colors of the carton to intensify the marsh image.
It is my hope that by upcycling the beverage art with which we are so familiar, admirers will be reminded to recycle or repurpose every day.
Thank you for your interest.
