A stunning piece of mid century art pottery! This small dish has a beautiful swooping shape, is glazed in a lovely shade of grayish green, and is decorated with a fantastic pattern of fish and other distinctly 1950's and 1960's atomic era shapes. No maker's mark, however it is definitely an older piece, as there is crazing evident on the cream colored underside (which is not as yellow as it appears in my images). The decoration is done with metallic silver glaze, however the sheen is subtle, and only seen as certain angles. The dish measures 5" square x 7/8" tall and is in excellent condition. There are a couple of tiny glaze skips on the underside of the rim, no chips, no cracks, no crazing in the green glaze, no scratches, no loss of pattern. Note: there was a tiny bit of schmutz present that I did not see when I first photographed the plate. This was easily wiped away and the plate is clean and beautiful.
