And below: “I love you,' Buttercup said. 'I know this must come as something of a surprise to you, since all I've ever done is scorn you and degrade you and taunt you, but I have loved you for several hours now, and every second, more.'" -William Goldman
This mug was made as a pair with a Westley mug, and its quote from Goldman's book showcases, in my opinion, the wonderful absurdity that characterizes the story. Such a beautiful combination of parody and brilliant authenticity, The Princess Bride is one of those tales--whether in book or movie format--that appeals to generations, and strikes a resonant chord with almost everyone. If you love the story and its quirks, perhaps this mug is for you.
I painted on a small, white mug with pale blue accents, slightly smaller than its counterpart, here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/108222199/the-princess-bride-as-you-wish-westley. In the upper corner, I painted a flower.
