Vintage tea cup, made by Hazel Atlas, circa 1940s or early 1950s, of Platonite, or milk glass, white fired a rosy clay color or fawn brown, the Ovide pattern.
This is a rare Hazel Atlas find Ovide pattern find. Ovide was the name of Hazel Atlas's plain dinner wear line, originally in green glass, the same forms where made in white color fired Platonite beginning in the 1930s. There were various names for the different colorways produced over the years, but I am unsure what group this pinkish brown hue belonged.
The base of this dainty, wide mouthed tea cup has the Hazel Atlas mark, an "A" within an "H", and is the unfinished white platonite
