Artistic, hand crafted depiction of the AURYN from the Neverending Story.
Crafted by hand from start to finish, carved out of resin clay which is fired multiple times and meticulously hand painted, with alternating vintage green and magenta chatons for eyes. A thick nickel-free antiqued brass-tone chain is attached through a ring at the back, which hangs in the same way as the original AURYN. Signed at the back. As with all of my work, no moulds were or are ever used in their creation :)
The resin clay material hardens to the consistency and weight of hard plastic, it's not metal and shouldn't be handled in the same manner as metal. (Not a piece to wear for sleeping, bathing/showering or strenuous physical activity).
Approximate measure: 2.5".
The chain is adjustable till up to 12" in length.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK
All of my work is the creation of my imagination, dreams and inspirations from nature as well as fantasy films, since 2006 when Plumevine was born. I never look for inspiration within my own medium, but outside of it where fresh artwork may be brought to life.

My pieces are thoroughly painted and sealed in their entirety, not merely on some parts.

No stamps or moulds are ever used. The carvings are made completely by hand using carving tools.
METICULOUSLY ENGINEERED
Much thought goes into making the pieces wearable and durable. Reinforcements such as inner wiring are utilized whenever needed. The designs are carefully thought out so that they will last as they are worn. Throughout my 5 years of experience creating Plumevine jewellery, I've continued to perfect these techniques. My craft is always evolving.
TIRELESS EVOLUTION
I'm always seeking new products and methods which will create jewellery that is not only more beautiful and durable, but environmentally friendly. My sculptures are created with the highest quality products on the market and as much ecological material as I can find which serves my purpose.
