the much-loved Japanese print gocco. what can I say to express my love for this amazing machine? just when I thought the japanese crafting world could not get any better…i discovered print gocco. i think every crafty person needs one in the corner of their room.
the design ideas are endless. you can draw a picture, use a computer design program or the plain ole photocopy machine. you can even photocopy leaves! photocopied photographs are pretty neat, too. (or you can make a stamp out of them using illustrator or photoshop.) to get your creative juices flowing … go to flickr and type in gocco. there is some amazing stuff out there. for sure.
and it’s so easy to use. it comes with a Japanese video. and you can find tutorials online, too. etsy also made a video. the link is at the bottom of this post. also ... i can email you a copy of the english guide from the print gocco company. it's good. just let me know if you would like it.
the printing screen is B6 size paper size (10 cm x 15 cm)…though i used it to print on larger things. You don’t need special paper to print on … just cardstock of some sort. you can also print on fabric … though you need a special screen and ink for that.
the basic kit includes:
- print gocco P5 machine
- english instruction manual (a japanese one, too)
- japanese instructional video
- 2 B6 screens
- 4 bulbs
- 2 batteries
- carbon pen
- blue filter (for use with photocopies)
- paper ink (red, black and gold)
- drying rack
- ink blocking material
- booklet with designs and layout paper
**you need two bulbs to make one screen. the bulbs are not re-usable.
i can get you other supplies, too. for an extra cost. such as extra screens, bulbs, inks, fabric printing screens, fabric ink, ink blocking material, etc. just email me.
shipping is via EMS… a trackable and secure shipping method through the post office. it is express air … so it’s super fast. it only takes 3-5 business days to get to you if you live in north america. if you live somewhere that is not on the list of countries …please email before purchasing for a shipping quote.
