This Stratton brush is the only one I have ever seen, so must be rare! It is enamelled in the beautiful gold tone style. There is a powder compact in this pattern, so this would make a great addition to any collection! It is a very interesting item and it took me a while to work out how to use it! The top enamelled lid slides off and then, when it is turned around so the enamel is facing the back it is slid in behind the bristles to make them stand up and stay rigid to brush your hair. Then the procedure is reversed and it can slip back into your handbag!! The bristles and internal struts are all plastic. It does not appear to have been used. It is stamped Stratton Made in Britain, British and Foreign Pats. Pending.
Condition: Very good Vintage - some minor surface scratches on either end of the compact
Length: 4" (10cm)
