Book Details:
A wrap-round cover of deep red wool felt, lined with a fine, butter-soft deep smokey grey suede.
Embellished with silk pieces in black and moss green, suede in deep wine red and pieces of Liberty Tana Lawn fabric, in the design "Strawberry Thief". Hand embroidered with gold metallic threads and silk embroidery floss.
There are three small polished semi-precious stone beads and a nacre heart-shaped button attached to the cover. It fastens with a hand-knotted button in deep red suede and a hand-twisted cord in black linen thread.
The book contains 40 pages (80 sides) of heavy weight, off-white hand made cotton rag paper, with natural deckled edges. The paper contains "inclusions" of rose-petal like flowers and green leaves.
The book is hand bound in a traditional English style long stitch, using black waxed linen thread.
The book measures approx 6.5" x 4.5" (16.5 x 11.5cm), with a page area of approx 6" x 4" (15 x 10.5cm - approx A5 size).
This journal is an individually created artist book - there will never be another the same, so you will own a unique item.
