Note: Smith's description of the front panel origins- "Someone's patio furniture, that's all I know"
Designer, Smith Darby, came up with this design because he wanted something he could easily carry a 6-pack of beer in while riding his bike. The design allows you to carry multiple items comfortably. They top clips down for security, and there is an inside pocket for a cell phone and keys. A great style for a simple need.
This is a SMITH BAG item made from recycled high quality, Vegan friendly, vinyl. The scraps are specially selected and saved from the upholstery shop floors. The bag is stitched together with industrial strength thread and includes tightening straps (made from climbing webbing) and buckles. Each piece is double stitched for added durability. This beg has a foam liner on the inside, giving the bag its shape. It is kept rough so you don't have to worry about breaking a pen inside it. It is made to be tough! Smith specifically wanted to make this a bare bones backpack, sought after for it's ability to be taken anywhere, though a lifetime of being be roughed up. The textures and style is a part of the utilitarian based spring line Smith is releasing though the fall.
When ordering, you will receive the item featured in the photos above. Each piece is one of a kind because of the nature of it's recycled material. The specific kinds of vinyl are very limited. Each piece comes with an information card that explains what kind of vinyl your stuff sac is made from, and what kind of car it came out of. This can be anything from a 2000 Jeep, to the original upholstery of a 1970's Mustang. If you have a preference on color, please let us know and we can create a custom look. Every SMITH BAG item is incredibly durable because of the high grade vinyl being used. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
