Shibori is the original Japanese style of folding and tying cloth to create designs and visual texture in the cloth. In this piece I first dyed the cloth by dipping the ends in two separate dye baths, then folded it and over dyed in a second dye bath to create the subtle design and color movement.

The scarf is approximately 8" x 70" with a hand rolled hem and made from habotai silk. Color shades of soft rust, orange and soft brown.

Care Instructions: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild detergent like Palmolive for dishes. Hang to dry. Press as needed with a warm, not hot, iron.
