Imperial Pottery was a division of Hull which produced a House and Garden serving ware and Imperial,it was it's florist ware during the late 1960's through the mid 1980's.
This is a matte finish yellow footed planter, that looks like it has never been used as a planter. It measures 5 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide, with ribbed sides, standing on base that measures 1 3/4" from the bottom to the base of the planter. There is a tiny chip on one of the feet, you would have to look hard to see it, it did not come up in the photos. There are some small back specs that happened during the firring process, again these characteristics in my eyes just add to the beauty of this piece. Imperial Pottery has become highly collectible due to the limited quantity available in the open market.
If you have a yellow kitchen or a pottery collector this will be a wonderful shape and color for your collection. Sunny yellow makes everyone happy!
Mrs. Hughes saw this piece during her break of filming the Third Season of Downton Abbey and I heard it from the grape vine, the Doctor is on his way to collect it. I just have to figure out where I am going to hide it for you.
Wish me luck, since I can't seem to get away with anything with the Doctor!
