I am really happy with the way this piece turned out and I believe it would be a wonderful accent piece for almost any room. Hand built from thin slabs of white stoneware, it is absolutely modern, rustic and unique. The entire piece was given a light wash of black copper oxide to help accentuate the rich texture of the surface cracks and pattern on the handles and then glazed in select areas with a pale blue celedon. It was then fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln with reduction, which is evident in the red flashing of the copper underneath the glaze. This work is water tight and food safe, but I believe it would work best as a decorative item and should be hand washed to increase longevity. The dimensions are 5" tall x 11.25" wide x 6.5 " deep.
