A splendidly executed set in a Baroque Style, designed with overdyed patterned artglass faux coral cabachons, glass seedpearl melee, enamelled ribbon icing and mounds of openworked filigree designs of hearts, scrolls and florettes. Most likely West Germany or Austrian design. A truly magnificent, unsigned beauty.
This is most certainly a set of highest quality, attention to details and design elements par excellance! It is in Fabulous vintage condition, with great colours, no missing stones and excellent surface. The earrings are in the clip on style and measure an inch tall and just shy of an inch wide. They are super comfy to wear, I almost forgot I was wearing them! (never fear, they have been thoroughly cleaned afterwards).
The brooch is a stunning example of the best this style has to offer. It is large enough to be seen and remembered at a full two inches in diameter, yet not so large as to appear gaudy or overdone. The golden hue'd metals are gleaming with a soft, inner light that makes me wonder if there isn't an actual gilt metal at play here. It, like the earrings that match, shows excellent color and surfaces, the enamelled ribbons are a creamy off white which adds to the trim and celebration that this brooch is! The seed pearls (glass) are well seated as are the faux coral cabachons and beads. There is a straight bar pin back with a rollover clasp closure in perfect condition.
This is a superb set, in fabulous condition and with all the hallmarks of the quality, attention to details and high style of the very finest designers of the day. Superb.
