Fur clips were made generally made in the 1940's, and were only purchased by the wealthy, as a fur was an outward sign of 'disposable income', known today as being rich.

This particular style, called a fur clip, is also referred to as a chatelaine or a macaroni.

This was made by Jeray (a mark used by Rice-Weiner) in the late 1930s to 1940s.

This is a rare item. First, it is Jeray, which is very rare. Second, it is in mint condition. Third, it still has the original chain- these were often taken apart and used as separate pieces during WWII, when fur was out of fashion (too ostentatious for the war years) and metal jewelry was impossible to come by- so things were 'recycled'.

There are a few stones missing, as shown. The large clip measures 2" by 1 1/2", the smaller 2" by 1". Clips are tight. Marked Jeray.

It has been kept in archival storage for years, away from moisture, light, other jewelry, and has never been worn.

Vintage pieces of this type are very, very rare.
