This is another variation of my wooden witch hat. By using different accent colors, I came up with something a little different than the traditional colors of orange and black for Halloween. The hat pieces were made of 3/4" thick pine. The hat brim and main portion were both sawn out and then sanded. I sanded the edges to give a sort of ruffled appearance. The wood was then painted a flat black. The hat and brim were lightly glued and then screwed into place. I left this piece unstained.

The hat measures about 8-7/8" tall, 8-7/8" wide, and about 2-1/4" from front to back. A piece of black, burgundy, and cream homespun was lightly glued into place and tied. A sprig of burgundy and creamy mustard yellow pip berries were attached and lightly glued into place. A hang tag saying "The Witch Is In..." was coffee/cinnamon stained and attached for a finishing touch.

This adorable hat was made with love by me in my smoke-free home. It would make a lovely Halloween accent for any decor.
