One of a kind art quilt based on Giant George, who was the world's biggest dog when I started work on this. It measures 1m wide by 1.06m tall.
The quilt is made starting with a drawing and then blowing up to the size of the quilt. The shade is written on each section and then it is traced onto freezer paper and used as a cutting template for the fabric pieces.. The pieces have edges turned under before being appliqued together.
There are three different colour threads and four different types of quilting over the top of the patchwork. A sketchy feel has been applied to represent fur. A small amount of fabric paint has been used for highlights.
A sleeve is on the back for easy hanging with dowel (not included). Shipping is by tracked mail only.
In total, this quilt took in excess of 30 hours from start to finish.
The quilt is washable at low temperatures and on a gentle setting.
