Being as busy as a bee can be."
My son sang that song in a school musical a few years ago, and I had it stuck in my head while creating this assemblage necklace featuring a vintage 1920s rhinestone belt buckle, Grandma Kathy's vintage bee brooch (the wings flap!), and a vintage yellow enameled flower brooch with a gold rhinestone in the middle (stem was broken so I removed it). I connected the assembled vintage items (measuring 2.75x2 inches) to linked black faceted beads from grandma's costume jewelry and Grandma Kathy's rhinestone beads from her bead stash, along with Grandma Kathy's silver chain. The necklace has an extender with a black faceted bead and rhinestone drop to accommodate a variety of lengths. Everything is repurposed including the chain! Eco friendliness at its greatest! The necklace is 31 inches at it's longest.
